Overview
PayOffPal operates payoffpal.org, a free mortgage extra-payment calculator. Every calculation runs entirely inside your browser. We do not store, log, or transmit the loan figures you enter, and they never reach our servers or anyone else's.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for and cannot see your name, email address, phone number, street address, lender, account numbers, or any of the loan amounts, rates, terms and payment figures you type into the calculator. There is no account to create and no sign-up of any kind. Because those values are never transmitted, there is nothing for us to sell, share, lose, or hand over.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, some technical information is recorded when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected by our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, and is used to keep the site online and to defend it against abuse. We use it in aggregate only and do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
Cookies and Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculator will continue to work normally if you do.
Affiliate Links
Some pages contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you follow one of those links, the destination site applies its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. Using an affiliate link never costs you more, and we do not receive any personal information about what you buy.
Links to Other Sites
Where we link to lenders, government pages, or reference material, those sites are outside our control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Data Retention
We keep no database of visitors. Cloudflare's technical logs are retained on their standard schedule for security and reliability purposes. Because your calculator inputs are never transmitted, there is no retention period for them — they disappear when you close the tab.
Children's Privacy
This site is intended for adults managing a mortgage and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
